This summer Climb Quest Milton Keynes has got involved in another HAF Programme funded by Milton Keynes Council. Climb Quest has offered 8 HAF sessions, welcoming over 160 climbers to enjoy a 4-hour fun-filled activity, including lunch for young people with additional needs, who are also entitled to benefit-related free school meals.
The session includes 2 hours of climbing, time for snacks and lunch as well as some sport and table-based activities. The action-packed day gives the opportunity for climbers to burn off their built-up energy over the school holidays. Our 25 climbing walls and 2 extremes each pose a unique challenge, with different shapes, obstacles and colours, requiring different skills and targeting different areas of the climber’s body.
Climb Quest is the perfect activity to ensure that young people stay active and provides families with the opportunity to engage in activities they may not usually participate in. At Climb Quest we passionately share an ethos around inclusion for all abilities. Climbing allows individuals to challenge themselves and we take great pride in offering separate SEND sessions to meet requirements of individuals, as well as work with SEND charities such as Spectrum and MK Snap.
The programme ran by Milton Keynes Council is fantastic and is designed to give opportunities for families to take part in something different. Being part of the HAF programme allows us to give back to the community, ensure inclusivity and provide a safe space as we understand the longest School holiday of the year can be a particularly challenging one. With a new term approaching, Climb Quest will continue to work with both SEND and community groups and support future programmes. If booking a community or SEND group is of interest to you, please contact us via email or telephone.
