Winter HAF Programme 2025

To kickstart 2025, Climb Quest Milton Keynes welcomed over 100 climbers to join in with the Milton Keynes City Council HAF programme. Climb Quest ran 4 sessions across 2 days, funded by the City Council, combining a day of climbing, food and activities for SEND children who are also entitled to benefit-related free school meals.

During the climbing session, climbers had access to our 25 unique climbing walls and 2 Extreme Challenges, allowing them to experiment a range of difficulties presented by different shapes and obstacles, making different movements necessary. We also scheduled some down time to reduce the risk of the children becoming overwhelmed and gave the opportunity for our guests to engage in sensory/ table based activities. The day also included a tasty pizza meal including crisps, fruit, veg and biscuits.

One of the best things about our centre is that we can include as many people as possible, with the activity being appropriate for all ages and abilities. At Climb Quest Milton Keynes we believe in being proud of what you can achieve, and our instructors are always on hand to support and encourage individuals. We also have an assistance hoist for those who have physical disabilities and find our Autism-Friendly and SEND sessions are hugely successful, inclusive and accessible.

At Climb Quest, we love being involved with the HAF programme, involving children in activities they may not usually be able to enjoy. We try our best to meet the needs of the individuals by adapting the environment for them and our centre allows a safe space for families to enjoy and experience together. As always, we look forward to hosting future Holiday and Food events, welcoming as many people as possible to take part in a healthy activity and feel a great sense of pride.
